End of February Already??

Since Josh had off on Monday, he took Evan to Brown's Branch Park. Ev decided the swings and slides did not hold a match to picking up sticks... again...
Or throwing gumballs in the creek!
The boys enjoying their morning coffee.
During his snow day this week, Josh made Evan a fort in the living room, where Evan proceeded to hoard all of the balls.
Ryan loves his doorway jumper!!! (Evan also felt the need to help Ryan bounce...)
Ryan and I accompanied my friend Andrena over to Lina's house today to get some newborn pictures of Caden. In between poses for Caden, she snapped some awesome pictures (as always!!!) of our little Ryan:
And then I stripped him down and stuck him in this basket!
Love it!! :o)

Babies!!

We have had a huge surge of babies lately, starting with Jess and Jenn welcoming Jackson Kane Judy on February 15. Then my cousin Dave and his wife Kristi welcomed their twin girls Aubrey and Courtney Hertzog on February 16. And finally, Josh and Lina welcomed Caden Irvin Miller on February 17. Whew!!!
.
Aunt Kim gets to cuddle baby Caden in the hospital!!
I can't get over how big Caden's feet are!! This is my thumb, and Ryan's feet aren't even this big...
Taking advantage of the great weather earlier in the week, Evan took his tricycle for a spin.
Ryan was quite pleased with the weather too!
We're not sure what the butterfly did to deserve such a stare-down each time he gets in the exersaucer...
Evan must be part cat, as he was trying to fit into the smallest box possible.
Big boy underpants!! They lasted about all of 30 minutes...
I saw this cheerio necklace idea in Parents magazine, much like a candy necklace. So, I broke out some dental floss and cheerios and had Ev help me make one. Ev put about six cheerios on before he was bored and had mom finish it for him. Then, during the test phase, he would bite about half the cheerio, and the other half would be all soggy and either stick to his clothes or fall on the floor. All in all, good in theory, not the best in reality... Ev enjoyed the novelty of it though!! :o)
We ventured over to Towson today to visit Jack, Kate, Jess and Jenn. Since the weather wasn't too bad, we took the kiddos to the park down the road. Do you think Ryan is bundled up enough?
Evan enjoyed the swings and slides for a short stint, then turned to what he knew best -- picking up sticks. And by sticks, I mean tree branches!!

Since we forgot to bring our camera along to the bowling alley on Saturday with Pop Pop, Uncle Josh, and Aunt Lina, our pictures for the week are limited. (Poor Aunt Lina is overdue with cousin Caden, who we are all super impatient to meet!! I think she tried bowling to move him along... :o) Sadly, I don't think it worked.) As a result of the forgotten camera, I decided to try posting this video again where Evan is learning to do somersaults in the bounce house.
Evan diligently working on his Valentine's Day cards.

The other morning was exceptionally cold, so I dug this hat out of the closet for Ryan. I'm not sure if his look was because he was uncertain of the hat, or if it was because I couldn't stop laughing at him! :o)

There's nothing like the side-by-side poopy diaper change...
I went in to check on Ryan the other night, and this is how I found him. I'm not sure if this violates any of those crib rules... regardless, he's back to the swaddle!
Ryan likes that fresh, clean feeling after the bath. Then he peed all over the place... :o)
Josh and I ate a breakfast of champions this morning -- powdered sugar donuts. Of course, Evan wanted one, so we told him if he was a super good boy while he ate, he could have one. He missed that boat for breakfast, so we tried again at lunch. This is his well-deserved smile for earning his donut!
And the sugar 'stache... :o)

Sledding!

We ventured up north this weekend to visit with Jared and Gina's crew, along with Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad. They received a significant amount of snow earlier in the week, and the boys decided it was a good time to take the kiddos sledding. Ev is all set!
A little push...
Heading back up.
Whew, fast trip down means a super steep climb back up! (I opted to stay behind with Gina and two napping babies, otherwise, I'm sure my out-of-shapeness would be on sad display during this phase...)
Ev and Josh on one of the slower trips down.
Ev preferred to throw snowballs instead. Shocker. :o)
Later that evening, Mom-Mom helps Ryan with his crocodile teether.
Evan has a renewed interest in this pop-up toy. Evan would pop them all up and Isaac would push them back down -- that's nice teamwork!! :o)
Speaking of teams, check out this team of silly late-night snackers!

Food!

Since Ryan hit the four month mark, we decided it was time to try him with some rice cereal. It can only help the sleeping and spitting up, right? :o) And just like any other Judy boy, he gobbled it right up!
And it made him quite happy. :o)
I have also tried for the past hour to post a video of Evan learning how to do a somersault in his bounce house, but the blog thingy is not cooperating, so I give up. Maybe next week... :o)

Four Months!

So, whenever there's a Monday holiday, I forget to blog on Sunday evening... my apologies! :o) At least it gives me a chance to put up Ryan's statistics since we went to the doctor today. He celebrated his four month birthday on Saturday, and as of today, he weighed in at 14 pounds 3 ounces (25%) and measured 27 inches long (95%). Also at four months, Ryan is quite the giggler. Here's a bit of him in action:
And we're not quite sure what happened here, but Evan is sporting two different shoes, playing with a baby rattle, and pulling his shirt up to poke his belly. Must just be a regular 'ole evening! :o)

I also celebrated my 28th birthday this past week, and we had a mini celebration on Saturday, where Evan helped me blow out my candles.
