Let Summer Vacation Begin!

This is Josh's first full week home with the boys on summer vacation, and they've had a ball together.  He found these awesome kids' camp chairs for the boys early in the week.  Although, Ev... I believe it says limit one person...
Before the heat wave hit, we took the boys out to play some tennis.  They were great at chasing the balls around on the court and tossing us one when ours was out of play.  They are definitely hired for all future ball-boy endeavors!
Ry likes to wrap up a nebulizer session with a refreshing Bud Light Lime...
Who needs a fancy acquarium?  We have the Wal-Mart fish aisle!
Back to its old tricks, the blog refuses to rotate my picture properly...  but the boys enjoy their Wal-Mart time with Daddy!  They made a few trips this week to enjoy the AC and gather some food.
Watching the construction crew level and rake our new yard.
In the car, I turned around to a Ry-Ry looking like this...  he thought he put his sunglasses on sufficiently!  :o)
Ev's imagination has run wild lately.  He is currently fixing the tent with a wrench, but the tent is surrounded by water, so he has to stand on his blanket so the sharks won't get him...  makes sense to me!
The activity is referred to as "Whirly Bird"...
Warning: May Cause Diziness...

Bethany Beach Week!

Prior to starting our vacation, we decided to have a small cook-out at our new house; however, it was slightly derailed by the boys being attacked by bees!  Pop-Pop came just in time to set up a triage station on the back of his truck and help the boys recover.
Then Pop-Pop took Evan fishing at the ditch down the road, where Ev caught 14 fish!
 One of his proud catches.
On Tuesday, we headed to Bethany Beach for a family vacation.  Pop-Pop helped Ryan get warmed-up to the big indoor pool.
 Lina and Caden splashing around.
 Ev and a Momma.
Ry splashing me with his feet...
The lifeguards on duty - Halmoni and Lina.
On Wednesday morning, we headed to the beach.  It was a little windy (to say the least), and we spotted some dolphins!
 Sand and surf.
Cousins!  Ev, Ry and Caden in the hole Aunt Lina dug out for them.
 Caden... a.k.a. Trouble.  :o)
After naps, we headed to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk for some rides.  The boys enjoyed the boats - Caden, in the boat behind them, was not so sure...
 Merry-go-Round with Halmoni and Pop-Pop!
The fighter planes are a must, and Evan's favorite!
Caden had more fun when his momma could ride with him!  She certainly looks like she's having fun, no??  :o)
 Tea cups in action!
Then, some dinner at Grotto's - another must on the Boardwalk.
 A daddy and a Ry-Ry being silly.
Josh likes to wreak havoc by showing the boys how to throw french fries at the seaguls.  The pictures does zero justice in showing how freaky close those birds were to us...
Then we tried our hand with the boys playing mini-golf.  While Ry lost interest around hole 3, Evan did really well!  I think we have a new activity to add to the beach scene...
We took to the beach again on Thursday, but a walk down the beach lead to a tired and cold Ry being carried.
Evan's activity of the week was shoveling sand and throwing it in the surf.  Continuously.
Maybe next time, it'll be a little warmer for our Ry-Guy.
Ta-da!  An entire sand fort built by Ev, Daddy and Pop-Pop!
Thursday night, we hit up the Boardwalk again - this time with the Judy clan.  The boys take on the swings - Jack, Ry, Ev and Isaac.
Since we weren't sure Ryan would stay put in such a large vehicle, I rode with the boys.
As cold as it was, we still needed ice cream.
Not sure if it was the cold beach days, busy week, or Boardwalk germs that resulted in Evan being sick, complete with fever, goosebumps, and lots of coughing...
Ry was sick too, but took it like a champ.  Nevertheless, we went home earlier than anticipated on Friday to start the boys on their nebulizers.
Friday night we visited Jared and Gina's campsite at Killen's Pond for a cookout.
And visited a neighboring camper's beagle puppy.  He was 14 weeks old and SOOOOO stinking cute!
On Saturday night, the kiddos making a complete mess of themselves on this dirt pile in front of our new house.
We ended the weekend spending time with and appreciating our dads.  I guess we were too busy to take any pictures, but it was a great Father's Day!  :o)

Mother of the Year Award?

Reasons I'm exempt from ever receiving a "Mother-of-the-Year Award":
1. The ridiculous mess in our living room.
2. Being caught in the background trying to video this with my phone...
3. Allowing this to happen:

Festivals, Festivals!

These pictures are actually from the last two weeks, since we momentarily lost our camera.  We found it, though, so here are our pictures from the Greenwood Menonnite Festival last weekend.  The boys absolutely loved the petting zoo, as usual!
And, of course, the bounce house!
Included in the petting zoo are small animals looking for a new home.  These puppies were so super sweet!
I also fell in love with this sweet black kitty with white paws and chest, much like my former kitty, but was unable to take it home with me...
On to the pony rides!  Ev first...
Ry's turn!
Then my turn??  At least it was on a wagon!  :o)
Batman tat (on his hand) and a smoothie - this boy has got it made!
Somewhere along the line, Josh brought these creepy teeth home.  Evan thought they were a hoot!
As I move back to a regular work schedule, I think the game I will miss the most is "let's go night-night" on Friday mornings!  No problem!!  :o)
This Saturday, we attended Kids' Fest at the fair grounds.  There were bounce houses galore!!  With all of his experience lately, Ev certainly learned how to get some major air under his feet!
Boys tackling an inflatable obstacle course.
(The videos are refusing to work at the moment, so I will try again later... sorry!)
