Happy Birthday, Halmoni!

We all headed over to Josh and Lina's house on Friday to celebrate Halmoni's birthday. Evan and Pop-Pop help Halmoni blow out her candles.

Hertzog family photo! :o)
Ryan getting Great Uncle Eric confused with Pop-Pop.

Then we headed over to Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's to help cut down a dead tree. Evan looks for any excuse to help pick up some sticks!!

Workin' boy driving around picking up more sticks.

Then it was time to splash in some puddles.

Daddy cleaning him off.

Ryan enjoying his newfound hat.

Evan enjoys swinging super high on the swings, so he thought he would share the fun with Ryan. Oddly enough, Ryan thought it was hysterical. Look out when it comes to the fair rides!!! :o)

Baseball and Such

Josh bid on this rather large basket of stuffed animals at the Woodbridge Festival last weekend and won. Ryan giving his new little lamb some love.

Evan could not be any more enamored with this BIIIIIG bunny!
Silly boy waking up and enjoying the non-moving mobile.

Super silly boy enjoying the bath toys. I guess the rubber ducky head is the perfect size to substitute a pacifier!

Jared and Gina won tickets to see the Wilmington Blue Rocks baseball game on Friday evening, so the majority of the Judy family joined in for some fun. Evan had a blast, especially with the fireworks afterwards!

The next morning, Kate got her hugs in on Ryan.

Ev trying on Mom-Mom's sneakers.

On Saturday, we took the kiddos to this farm by Jared and Gina's house. They got to be very involved, such as feeding the chickens.
Petting the little chicks.

And feed some sheep! (There were also some SUPER cute lambs were just a few days old!)

On our way home, we FINALLY figured out how to get to the Big Oak County Park in Smyrna. Evan hopped up on the dinosaur for a photo op.

He also liked rocking on the rocket ship.

Ryan has been making the move towards crawling lately. He can move onto his hands and knees from a sitting position (see below), and rocks back and forth. It doesn't last long before he falls on his face, but he's working on it. I'm sure we'll be chasing after him in no time! :o)

And yeah, we're not quite sure what this is, but it's a good sum of the week. CRAZY! :o)

Mid-May Already??

Saturday was the annual Woodbridge Festival; however, we forgot the camera. Go figure! :o) Evan enjoyed all of the games, since he could throw balls and hit golf balls and such. He also enjoyed picking out all of his goodies afterwards at the prize booth! But with all of that play comes some work, too. :o) Evan helps his Dad tote some dead branches to the woods.

Workin' boy!
Bouncing on the Evan-sized trampoline at Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's house.
Testing out the rock climbing wall addition to the playset.

After the rock wall is a new tunnel, which also earned Evan's stamp of approval.

Mom-Mom helping Ryan enjoy some Ryan-sized events on the playset.

Hanging out with Dad-Dad. (Another ball player in the making!!)

Ryan showing off his most-intense smile, and those two bottom teefers. :o)

Evan is warming up for the swings at the fair with this ridiculously high swinging swing:

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms today! :o)

Here are my two munchkins enjoying some bath time together. Ryan can't quite sit up on his own on a regular basis that I would trust it in the tub, so Evan had to share the majority of the space with Ryan's tub. He didn't mind, though, and looks forward to more shared bath time in the future.

Pop-Pop and Halmoni helping Ryan and Caden enjoy some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
Evan and his Daddy found this toad at Pop-Pop's, so Halmoni gave him this bucket to carry it around. Toads, spiders, worms -- I guess he'll continue to be a friend of nature! :o)
Who doesn't love a picture of a sleeping baby?? :o) I think I find them more amusing than most. Maybe because the sleep is something to be treasured... :o)

Evan learned some new moves with the couch-pillow-jumping:

These pictures are from when we took Evan to the Salisbury Zoo over Josh's spring break. We had quite a few pictures between Easter and Jared's birthday, so we tried to hold them a bit for a less busy picture period. Evan started the day trying to feed some ducks with Mom-Mom.

Hanging like the sloth in the picture to the right. (I'm pretty sure this was much more work for Mommy than Evan... don't let the appearance of him hanging fool you into thinking that I'm not fully supporting 32 pounds at an awkward angle!! :o))

The proximity of all of the animals was super fun for Evan.

Llama!! A favorite of Josh and I.

My boy is getting so big... I loved this swing! :o)

To continue from last year, Evan's favorite exhibit at the zoo was the otters. They loved to swim right up to us and do flips into the water, then repeat. We found this little otter in the gift shop, which is now apparently part of Evan's right arm, and he totes it everywhere. He even has his own little blanket and sleeps at the foot of his bed, only to be drug around everywhere by Evan the next day. :o)

Recent Posts...

I'm not sure what is going on with the blogs lately - not sure if it is not working with the new Internet Explorer, or what it's problem is... :o( It struggles to post all of my pictures in the desired order, and it doesn't always let me type. Argh.
I also forgot to post the boys' stats from the doctor's appointment two weeks ago. The doctor was quite pleased that Ryan gained about a pound and a half in a month, putting him at 16 pounds. Since he's still only the 20%, we're going to continue with the reflux medication and increased calories for the next two months. He'll be reevaluated at his 9-month check up. Evan measured 36 inches (50%) and weighed in at 31 pounds 2 ounces (75%). By measurement, Evan didn't get any taller from his last check up, but by sight (and changing up to the next size pants), he definitely appears taller. Maybe he was hunched... :o)
I hope this thing starts to cooperate soon, but bear with me in the mean time!! :o)

Happy Birthday, Uncle Jared!

To help celebrate Jared's 30th birthday, we had a small gathering of the Judy Family. The kiddos really enjoyed playing together, as usual! :o)
Silly girls!
Back inside to warm up and get some story time with Mom-Mom.
Then Jared's birthday fun was to shoot guns - lots of 'em! Isaac also joined the funny, making for one proud papa. We, of course, made sure Isaac's ears were protected! :o)
Gina snipering a pumpkin:

Back at base camp, Leah and Evan took turns on the slide.

Then we headed over to Lina and Josh's for dinner and cake. They provided these bubble wands for oodles of entertainment. :o)

More bubbles!!!

Earlier in the week, we busted out the walker for our little Ryan. He loves it, as with anything that allows him to be upright and mobile.

Evan was also treated with some tub crayons this week. Super fun!! :o)

We joined some friends at Brecknock Park, where Ev took some turns down the slide.

Then, we went for the triple slide! (Andrena's daughters, Madison and Taylor, helped Ev feel a little more comfortable playing with other kids at the park.)

And Miss Stephenie joined us at the park! She was able to keep Ryan occupied for a bit.
