Fair Week!

The Delaware State Fair was here all last week, and Evan could not have been more excited! As a result, we spent quite a few evenings there. Ev starts out the week showing off his sylish antlers.

Ryan watching Evan climb all over the tractors -- I'm sure you'll be right there too next year, Ry!
Checking out the John Deeres.

Combine!

Sprayer.

Loader!

Then on to the animals! This two-week old goat was MY favorite. Evan just wanted to hold it in the worst way, mostly because I think he thought it was a puppy... :o)

Pony ride!

The carrot-eating giraffe, Twigs, was back this year. Josh and Evan tried to bait him in, but then Ev got scared. We managed to feed him the next day though!

Poor little chicky... Ev was supposed to "steady" the chick with his one hand, but that meant squeezing its neck... I guess he was pretty steady!Ev got a kick of sticking pieces of straw in the animal cages for them to nibble on. Of course, we only caught the end of his jaunts back and forth between the chicken and the bunny.

In between fair shifts, Ryan enjoyed climbing in the cabinets at home.

Evan tried on Daddy's tie, and then said he "was going to work with Mommy"!! Love it! :o)

Then on Saturday, went over to Uncle Tim and Aunt Brenda's to help Dad-Dad celebrate his 60th birthday. The pool was definitely a big hit!

As was the water slide:

Ryan also enjoyed some pool time with Daddy. Although, he was more of a koala than a fish...

Evan, Kate and Leah helping Dad-Dad blow out his candles.

And after presents were unwrapped and everyone else was finished with cake and ice cream, Evan remained as the lone cake eater. He must be his Daddy's son!! :o)

Also as a result of activities this past week, we are the proud owners of this beautiful wooded lot around the corner from my parents' house. We are super anxious to start clearing part of it and building our forever home!! We will be less than 10 minutes from both sets of grandparents and Aunt Lina, Uncle Josh and Caden -- we can't wait!! :o)

I decided to take advantage of the double boy nap and take care of the blog before I'm fighting with it at 10 pm like I am every other Sunday! :o)

.

A picture similar to last week, except this time with matching jammies!

We start 'em young in the Judy family picking 'lopes.
Patiently waiting to load up on the tractor.

Drive on!

Short but sweet video - Evan loves driving the five-wheeler and tractors at the farm!

Josh, Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad took the boys and met Jared, Gina, Leah and Isaac at the Rehoboth boardwalk on Thursday evening. Evan and Leah made for good riding buddies!

Kids with guns. Makes sense...

Remember the Boxcar Children? We just have box children...

All the friends in the box, and it was driven like a car. Oh, the imaginations!

Ryan and Isaac made for good buddies this weekend as well.

It was quite warm out this weekend (continuing from the week, and I'm pretty sure it was hot EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!), so we had to go for the kiddie pool. We started out fairly PG with shorts/underwear...

Moved on to the sprinkler for a bit...

Then Miss Leah went for the buff (which is currently being sensored), and Evan went down to his little tighty-whities, which also happened to be inside out. Ignore the empty bottle of Port in the pool, too... Ahh, summer. :o)

A wet little Isaac...

Who doesn't want to ride the tractor in their skivvies?

Crazy little Ryan chasing small pieces of canteloupe around on his tray. You would think one would just use his hands...

The Beach and the Farm - must be summer!

Evan was in dire need of a hair cut this week, and since Halmoni is in Korea for the summer, Daddy took to it with some clippers. Evan actually thought it was quite fun!

Then Daddy and Evan spent a day at the beach, catching sand crabs... (can't really see it, but he is holding one!)
And building sand castles...

Ta-da!!

Of course, a day at the beach is not complete without some splashing in the water!

Daddy apparently owned the claw machine and won a bunch of these funny balls.

Evan's favorite ride was the rocket ship!

As soon as they came throug the door at Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's house, Ev crashed on the floor with his friends. Tired boy!

Two crazy boys in the tub.

Two crazy boys at the window... :o)

Evan gets a huge kick out of driving the five-wheeler and the tractors down on the farm!Ryan is not so sure what to think of these little tomatoes...

Evan tried to get Daddy with his squirt gun while swinging by. Not sure if any of it landed... :o)

Evan tried his hand at flying the kite.

Love this picture! I'll pat myself on the back for my photography skills. :o)

Ryan did not like the grass touching his knees... very reminiscent of Evan during his first summer bear-crawling in the grass!

A little batting practice:

Ev showing off Pop-Pop's garden!

I'm running out of good titles...

Evan enjoyed this fun dump truck at Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's house - loading it with dirt and leaves, then dumping it.

Helping Daddy with the garden. Also note the little critter container, which they fill with crawling/hopping/flying things and bring in to the house to observe. That's the most exciting part for me... :o)
Ryan hamming it up for cousin Caden.

Josh enjoys the fact that Evan and Ryan can somewhat entertain each other. They both went missing into our bedroom the other day, and after about five minutes of quiet intervals followed by laughter, Josh went to investigate:

Another fun example of Evan keeping Ryan entertained:

I hope they're always this easy to entertain and get along so well together!! I know, what a dream... :o)
