Just a little post...

This has been a pretty quiet week, so we don't have very many pictures to post.  We've just been busy with work and two crazy boys!!  Ryan is getting closer to walking - he is more comfortable standing on his own, and he can walk a good distance with just holding on with one hand.  And each day, Evan is more and more excited that his birthday is NEXT!!

Josh brought Evan home some mealworms, which he is fascinated with.  I'm glad they choose to play with them when I'm not around...  :o)
Evan likes to help rinse Ryan off in the tub.
We also have a video of Evan fetching the newspaper for Josh, which he likes to do on weekend mornings, and includes a quick scamper down the sidewalk and back.  However, I have yet to figure out how to get videos from our new camera on here.  I tried to upload it directly, but the blog didn't like that... and it's not compatible with the video editor I used before.  Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out soon, since both boys just get crazier and funnier each day!  :o)

Ryan is ONE!!!

Our little Ry-Guy turned one this past week! When we went to the doctor on Friday for his checkup, he weighed in at 20 pounds 9 ounces (10-25%) and measured 30.75 inches (75%). He also received multiple vaccines, but you would never know by how happily he played afterwards:

Then we headed over to Aunt Lina and Uncle Josh's to have a little celebration. Here is the dynamic duo of Ryan and Caden who spend their days at Halmoni's house.
Lina made a fabulous cake, as always:

Birthday song! (Which Evan has been singing NONSTOP since Friday evening...)

Ryan wasn't quite sure what to do with his cake, but he managed to smear a little bit of icing on his face.

Opening presents. Notice Evan and Leah stole some of Ryan's loot in the background!! :o)

We found another playground nearby this weekend. Although there was a lack of a big slide (it was an early childhood center), everything else was the perfect size for Evan to climb on by himself. And he found one of his favorites - Clifford!!

In the back of the playground, there was a music center with drums and other noise makers. Ryan got a kick out of the drums too!

Then, on Saturday evening, Josh and I took Evan to the University of Delaware versus Delaware State football game. He once again loved the drums in the band and You Dee. Silly boy!

And since we parked a ways away, Evan hitched a ride on daddy's shoulders.

Our poor child with his jeans from last year, which, depending on which way you yanked them, either showed too much leg or... big boy underpants!!

End of Summer...

Now that Josh is back in school and we're settled into our rental house, our pictures are way less eventful. On Saturday, we ventured down town for the Milford Riverfest. While I think we missed the boat on most of the vendors and kid activities, including the petting zoo, we made sure we were there to catch the fireworks. Evan waited patiently for the fireworks show.

Ryan tried to wait patiently, but it was late, sticky, and I think he was all puffed/goldfished out! When they finally arrived, Ryan actually enjoyed the fireworks.
Then, this morning, Evan and I went with Pop-Pop to the Air Force Base church. Since Ev was such a good, quiet boy during church, we stopped at the playground afterwards. Ev tested out his balancing skills...

Rock wall!

Evan loves the big slides! :o)

Something Old, Something New...

Woohoo! Our new camera arrived this week, and I was able to scrape some of the green gunk off our old memory card to salvage our beach pictures riiiiight before the camera fell in the water! :o)

Evan enjoyed throwing some crackers at the seagulls in the parking lot.

Such calm water. The bay is a great place for our kiddos! :o)
Evan, of course, loves to dig in the sand.

Ryan liked to pick the rocks out of the sand. A little too much for my taste, as I had to constantly fish them out of his mouth... Looks like he's having fun though! :o)

Then, fast forward to this week...

Evan enjoyed bouncing in a bounce house at a picnic we went to. The slide part was a big hit for him!

Ryan learned to extract cheerios from the snack trap this morning. He was super excited!! :o)

And who knew an empty cardboard roll could be so fun?? He probably played with this in the kitchen by himself for close to 30 minutes.

My dinosaur boys cooking breakfast.
