Ramblings from the Weekend

Evan has been doing great with rolling over and holding his head up during tummy time and when held up to your shoulder. He is still quite wobbly when in the seated position, but he's improving every day. Doesn't he look completely exasperated with tummy time in this picture? I can take a hint... :o)

He has also started smiling a lot more -- yay!! :o) Of course, he is completely camera shy, so I can rarely get him to smile for the camera, or even catch a good one when he's not looking.

Here is Evan watching the Eagles game with his Grandpop Joe in their matching Eagles attire.
Evan says, "Whaaaat? They didn't win? Even with my awesome gear?"

Here are some random fun photos:
All stretched out after an hour and a half in the sling.
Our poor kid has the worst receeding hairline! :o( He had minimal hair up there to start with, but then he lost it all! At least now it's starting to grow back... slowly...

How GQ is this outfit? We thank Aunt Erica for dressing us so nicely!! :o)

Mesmerized

Whatever is directly in front of Evan's face is generally not good enough for him, so he contantly turns his head to get a better view. He is usually mesmerized by the ceiling fan and any light. His new thing is to arch his back while lying on Josh's chest to get the best view of the light.

A Little Lesson

Josh is trying to demonstrate the proper way to watch television while laying on the couch:
Evan, however, says, "Don't worry, Dad. I've got it covered!"

One Month Checkup

First off, I apologize for slacking on the updates and such. I don't have any fun pictures to post, but I will make more of an effort to take some and post them soon!
As far as Evan goes, he had his one month check up the other day. He is weighing in at a hefty 9 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 22.5 inches. The doctor referred to him as "a very health one-month old," but I think that was her way of politely calling him fat... :o) Oh well, we'll take healthy any day!
In addition, on the eve of his four week birthday, Evan decided he was ready to ready to roll over from front to back! He has since done this about five times that I know of, but not ever for the camera! I think he knows I'm filming him, so we pretty much have a lot of footage of him laying on his belly and crying.
As far as the parents are concerned, Josh is almost finished with his student teaching. He is finished with his days of actual teaching in the classroom, but he has some days to ride out observing and wrapping up loose ends. He is quite happy to have reached the end!! :o) And for me, I'm just enjoying being home with Evan every day. He keeps me busy, but we're all healthy and happy and feel very blessed.

Happy Halloween!

Evan was a pumpkin for his first Halloween:

Kim's parents were a super creepy clown and an old woman.Lina and Josh posed as Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown. They found their pumpkin!! :o)

Jeonga was the nicest witch in the room! :o)

And the parents were party poopers, so we were not in costume. We do, however, have a whole year to come up with a trio for next Halloween!
