Shenanigans

Blowing dandelion seeds, because we definitely need more in our yard!
Looking like such a big boy on his four-wheeler. It's a non-stop activity now that Kate has shown him how to hold down the button for a smooth ride.
Smile!
Josh had already showered for the day, so he let Evan mow the grass.
Whew! After all that work, Ev needed to take a little break.

Hanging with Kate

Jess, Jenn and Kate stopped by for a short overnight stint this weekend on their way to Newark. Poor Ev went to sleep peacefully with a quiet house, and woke up to this:

Follow the leader! "Um... she took my ride..."Sharing. :o)
Helping Dad weed the flower beds and take it to the cows. And the word of the weekend is:

18 Months

Evan went to the doctor on Friday for his 18-month checkup. He weighed in at 24 pounds (25%) and measured 32 inches long (50%). Somewhere along the line, I don't think someone is measuring properly, because he was supposedly 32.25 inches the last time went, and he definitely got longer since then!! And he supposedly gained a half pound since his last visit, which doesn't feel true to my arms... Oh well. Staying strong at long and lean. :o)
.
Since Josh had spring break this past week, he got to spend a lot of quality time with Evan. Ev decided it would be fun to wedge a piece of a toy that does not belong into his ball popper.
Riding with Dad on the mower. Brrm brrm!!
Helping dad water the garden.
Towel boy!
Showing off his flowers with his on-cue smile that Dad taught him this week.
Woo-wee. Looking fly in his new sunglasses!

The Zoo!!

Evan was getting hype in the car on the way down to the Salisbury Zoo on Tuesday. He was kicking his feet like crazy, waving his arms, and yelling nonsense.
Checking out the escapee goose. He was outside his pen, but surprisingly trying to get back in.
"Ma -- do you see the bear? Rah!!!" (I think it had mosied behind a tree in this picture...)
Evan was very amused by a pair of otters. They would swim right up to us and then backflip into the water, over and over and over again.
Prairie dogs are always fun!
Taking a break from the stroller to cruise around with Dad. (This is by far my favorite picture of the trip!!)
It was SOOO warm the day we went to the zoo (85+ degrees when we're used to 60 being warm), so we tried our best to keep the boy cool. His head got quite sweaty from his hat, so we had to take a breather.
There was an awesome park outside the entrance of the zoo. It was hard to get Ev out of this swing... even after probably 20 plus minutes of swinging!
Josh and I were quite pooped after the trip. Of course, Evan decided he was not that tired and didn't nap the entire hour and a half ride home... this was probably within 15 mintues of being inside the house:

Baby?

Heaven forbid we should ever try to take a picture or video tape this child doing anything these days!! Josh was trying to teach Evan how to clear space after getting a rebound so he can put it back up for two. (Very important stuff here if Evan ever wants to play basketball for Duke!) Here is what Evan has learned so far, plus, him spotting the camera and being OBSESSED with seeing the "baby"... which is him... we are not quite sure he has put that puzzle together yet... :o)

Happy Easter!!

Here is our Easter 2010 Family Photo. Excuse the wind and sun, and we were using the timer, so this is the best we came up with. :o)
Evan is checking out his Easter basket goodies.
Running around the house with his loot.
Then we went to Aunt Lina and Uncle Josh's house for dinner. Evan became good friends with Annabelle, their super furry kitty. (And yes, that is a dandelion in his hand...)
Haning out with Jeonga and Jeong Hak after dinner.
Delivering cold beers to the boys.
Then it's time for the egg "hunt"! Using the basket for balance... :o)
Whew, that's a lot of eggs!
Checking out the goods. Aunt Lina is so silly!

Flowers!

Evan has been pretty obsessed with flowers lately. He is only allowed to smell all of the flowers, except dandelions, which he picks a bunch of, so we end up giving him a bucket to collect them all.

In between picking flowers, Ev still finds time to feed the cows.
I am not sure how the proximity is not scary to Evan. Maybe the fence is providing some security...
Watching UFC with Dad. Do you see the anxiety on Evan's face? That's the same look I have when I watch UFC... :o)
