Dancing Boy

Somehow, Eric Church's "Smoke a Little Smoke" became "Evan's Song". Probably because he does this every time it comes on!

Weekend with Leah

Evan was super excited to get to spend a weekend with Leah and Isaac again. Here, Leah shows Evan how to work the soothing center.
Then we took the kiddos to this little creek down the street from Jared and Gina's house. It was a little murky for my taste, but they look like they had fun! :o)
Small wardrobe change and then checking to see how little man Isaac is doing.
Sharing the trike.
A little outdoor pong.
Too cute! :o)
Evan and Leah couldn't get enough sharing Dad/Uncle Josh! They loved being thrown in the air all weekend, and using him to hang off of. We had a lot of lessons in taking turns... :o)
Ev giving Rowdy some love.
Collecting acorns in the woods.
Pointing out all of the bubbles.
Here's a small taste of these crazies together:
Jumping!

And spinning!

Week 36

Why yes, I do feel as big as I look!!
The new nursery:
Doing his first paint with water picture.
We thought it was pretty neat to see all of these wild turkies in our backyard.

Moving Day!

Jared and Gina are moving back to Delaware (yay!) and Jared arrived with their moving truck late Friday night. Josh, Evan and I headed up Saturday morning to help with the unloading -- well, Evan and I were observing. Nothing like a good facial with a shelf first thing in the morning! :o)

Evan helped Dad-Dad take off the banister on the way down to the basement... So the fridge would fit! A little tight?! And whose idea was it to move an 800 pound smoker from Texas?? I'm glad my only job was to keep Evan out of the way!! :o) "Look, mom! I can move this rock from here to there!" Time for lunch with our new buddy Rowdy. :o) And once everything was unloaded, it was time to take the truck back. The road is quite narrow and this fence in the driveway was sort of making the turn a little hairy. Two people were on the road to ensure clearance, and someone (ahem, Josh) was supposed to make sure the back was clear. Notice the arms waving to signal "stop!" just a wee bit too late? So, now there's a small chunk missing from the fence... whoopsie!

Sorry I missed the blog posting last night -- we were not home... however, here was essentially our week in a nutshell:
The poor small one ended up with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, which caused him to be quite cranky and lazy. But I guess with a 104 degree fever and ulcers in his mouth, he was entitled to feel a little funky. So, needless to say, our pictures were a little bare this week. Here is one from early on where he was not feeling sick, but quite mischievous, and was reorganizing the cabinet.
Jeonga was coming back to the States this weekend, so we headed down to my parents' house to welcome her home. We took advantage of a good mood and gave Evan a haircut. Who gives this boy a squirty water bottle to play with?? :o) We all got a little wet!
And his reward for sitting there so nicely was to ride around on the mower with Great Uncle Eric.
Yay, Jeonga is back!! :o) Evan was so excited to see her, he just wanted to do everything with her, including sitting with her while she checked her email.
I had already planned to take today off so that we could get Evan down to the outlets and Boardwalk one more time before Josh heads back to school on Wednesday. In the Nike outlet, Evan immediately found the bin of balls and carried one around the store the entire time we were there.
Fun little tractor outside the store.
And then the camera died... we were unable to get any pictures of Evan riding the rides at the Boardwalk like a big boy!! He actually took to riding the boats, fire engine and airplanes all by himself! Of course, he and I took some turns on the Merry-Go-Round as well. Even with "owies" in his mouth, he was a trooper most of the day.
.
And here is an older picture that I just love of Evan wearing my shoes. We just had too much other blog stuff before, I thought it would get lost. So, here it is. :o)

Happy 30th, Josh!

We went over to Lina and Josh's house to celebrate Josh's 30th birthday. Somehow, we managed the entire evening without getting a picture of the birthday boy! It's probably because we were busy chasing these crazies around...
.
Evan and Kaylee (his almost birthday buddy -- just two days apart) got along well together.
Whew, they sure know how to tucker out a pregnant woman!

Ev and Kaylee had about a 30-second stand off to determine who would be the one to go in for the high-five. Of course we missed that on camera, but they've got it down pat now!

Evan played cars with my cousin Phil's daughter Emma.

Yep, it's definitely Phil's daughter! :o)

So sweet! (And very misleading! :o) This lasted about two whole seconds...)
The next day, Evan showed Emma the sandbox at Grandmom and Pop-Pop's house.
It was quite warm, so Evan enjoyed jumping in the pool with Pop-Pop.

Peach Festival!

The annual Peach Festival in Camden was this weekend, so we decided to take a gander down there to see what it was all about. Evan was super excited to get a balloon, and he tried to "catch it" as it was tied to his wrist.
Watching the parade in the little bit of shade we could find.

After the parade, we traveled over to Fifer Orchards to check out the petting zoo. There were two really awesome bunnies that I was trying to convince Josh we needed to take home! :o)
And this little piggy was too cute too!
The best part of the Peach Festival is the free peach ice cream cone everyone gets! Yummy!!
Showing off the tractor balloon that Dad bought for him during the parade.

Silly Shananigans

Funny how it makes it look like Evan will sit on his little couch, eat a snack and watch some Mickey Mouse. At least it lasts long enough to take a picture! :o)
Um, a little too big for this car seat... guess it's time to pass it along to his little brother.
Josh took Evan to a new park on their way to see Gramma and Grandpa this week. The rock wall proved a little challenging.
"Peek-a-Boo!"
Helping Gramma and Grandpa prepare lunch.
Whenever it's time to eat, Evan runs to his kitchen set and grabs all of his play utensils. Then he proceeds to try to cut all of our cheerios in half because they're obviously too big for one bite... and guess who's trying not to have a panic attack with all of the cheerio bits on the floor?? :o)

Delaware State Fair - Take Two

Since I had to work the first night Josh took Evan to the Fair, and because he just loved it so much, we decided to take Evan back for some more fun. Some horses were poking their heads out, so we went in for the pet.
More love for the tractors.
Ev is so big...
Yet so small!!!
Yep, the giraffe is up for more carrots. Evan was a little more timid this time around and kept pulling his hand back. I don't blame him though -- the proximity is quite frightening!!
Josh was trying to win that giant Sponge Bob in the upper right hand corner of the picture for Evan. And three buckets of rings later... well, still no Sponge Bob...
Enjoying the parade.
Time for the classic face-in-hole photos.
A little scary, yes?
Um, the hay bale holding up the board was sticking in my belly...
