Hertzog Family Photos

Last weekend, my friend Andrena came over to take some beautiful family photos for us.  Here is a sample of our day:
The whole extended clan (Back Row: Grandmom Hertzog, Pop-Pop, Halmoni, Great Halmoni, and Jeonga.  Front Row: Evan, Josh, Ryan, Me, Lina, Josh and Caden):
The Millers attempted a photo with Pop-Pop and Halmoni, but it didn't quite go as planned... as evidenced by Lina's face.
 The ladies.
 Me, Lina and Jeonga
 A cute Miller family photo.
 The Judys on a log.
Evan showing off his tree with a hole in it.
 Ryan displaying his balancing skills.
Boys!
 Silly Ev.
And a cozy chair pic...  :o)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

(First, my November catch-up...)
The boys hiding under some branches...
 ...and climbing on fallen limbs.
Helping Daddy push over tress is quickly becoming a favorite activity.
Penny snuggling with a Ry-Guy during his nap.
Another day, another nap with Ev.  Evan wanted to keep her warm, so he covered her up with his tag blanket.
Josh's housewarming gift from Jas and Erica.
And Evan's gift to accompany his Jeff Gordon cut-out.
Ry being ever-so-careful loading the tree up with ornaments.
Evan reaching for the high ones.
And the boys helping Daddy with the lights for the downstairs tree.
Now on to Thanksgiving!
Helping Mom-Mom make some "green stuff" on Friday for the Judy dinner - and sneaking some mini marshmallows!
Adults table and kiddos table.
Some post-dinner reading.
Aunt Gina getting her snuggles on with Penny and Anna -  now that's talent!  :o)
Judy cousins - Evan, Ryan, Jack, Leah, Anna, Kate and Isaac.
The rest of the Judy crew - missing Jas and Erica, who were enjoying their time in Hawaii.

November already?

Whew... amongst all of my blogging catch up, we've reached November!  On a chilly afternoon, while Daddy was blowing all of the leaves the hurricane dropped on our lawn, the boys made themselves a pile and dove in.  They refused to look at the camera though, and thought they were quite funny...
Finally a smiling Evvers!
And I had to tickle a Ry-Ry for some smiles.
It only got colder as we headed to a UD football game last weekend.  Evan and a Dad-Dad trying to stay warm.
Ryan and Daddy.
The crew rooting for both teams - UD and Towson.
Somehow, Ryan managed to fall asleep at the game and took a solid nap in my arms.  He was my little heat pack!  :o)
The boys after a fun game gone awry...  the were using an inflatable bop bag to run into each other.  Yet, when the bag dropped, two sprinting boys collided faces.  Evan managed to escape with some redness and a bruise...
Ryan, got the brunt of the impact and got a cut under his eye (and a small one above it)...  Surprisingly, he cried a bit, but took it like a champ.  I guess with his thin skin, though, he won't be pursuing a carrer in the UFC!

Halloween and a Hurricane

Before Hurricane Sandy washed us all away, Batman (Evan), Scooby Doo (Caden), and Robin (Ryan) ventured down to see Great-Grandmom and do some early trick or treating.
The boys strapped their boots on in preparation for Hurricane Sandy.
While the rain and wind were pounding outside, Evan helped Daddy put together their new bookshelf.  Evan was pretty handy with that hammer!
 Assessing the damage...
One big oak was uprooted...  thank goodness it wasn't near the house!  It did manage, however, to fork itself into another tree, so we're not quite sure what to do with it.  The boys currently call it their "swamp".
The hurricane passed just in time for Halloween!  Batman and Robin took the streets of Aunt Lina's neighborhood and fought crime while collecting candy.
Ryan enjoying a post trick-or-treat sucker while sporting Pop-Pop's hair.  I know... I, too, will have nightmares from this picture!

Meet Penny

There was a flyer in the elevator at my work advertising a friendly kitten in need of a forever home.  To my amazement, Josh entertained my umpteenth request to get a kitten!  :o)  The boys meeting her when I brought her home from work...
And watching her eat again when we brought her inside.  They were glued to her!
As probably one of the most adaptable kitties I have witnessed, she immediately took the boys and loved on them as much as they did on her.
 Miss Penny Purrs-a-Lot:

Surprise, Mom-Mom!

First off, congratulations (a little late...) to Jared and Gina for welcoming little miss Anna Noel to the ever growing Judy family!  :o)  Ryan loves babies, and couldn't wait for his turn to hold her.
Isaac, Leah and Evan having a sleep-over on Evan's floor.  Surprisingly, I think they went right to sleep...
Evan and Leah working diligently on the banner for Mom-Mom's surprise birthday party.
 SURPRISE!!
Taking advantage of our visitors, we played quite a bit of doubles ping pong the next day.
Boys in the woods.
Eating dinner by the camp fire they love so much.
Dualing Batmans!  One uses Batarangs for his weapon, the other... his "gwubs" and a shark!
Showing off the acorns they collected...
To throw in the big ditch full of water across the street.
The boys are awesome at wiping down the base boards...  :o)
While Daddy checks out, the boys get to check out the games in the Wal-Mart game center.  Ryan really liked this gun...
Josh's hard work, preparing for the harsh winter everyone is predicting.
