Trees!!

Before I forget again, it's time for our latest statistics!!  I took the boys to the doctor last week for Evan's 3-year check up, and he weighed in at 33 pounds and measured 37 inches (both 50-75%).  Everything else was fabulous, and he's a healthy, happy boy!
Ryan just went for his follow-up flu shot, but he weighed in at 22 pounds (20-50%) and measured 31 inches (50-75%).  This past week, he's also doing a lot more standing around and WALKING!!  He's still not 100% fluid in his frankenstein walking, and more often than not, it ends in a crawl, but we're getting there!!
Now on to the trees!  :o)  Evan had a blast this past week watching our lot get cleared for our new house.  Notice the crazy claw in the background carrying a huge tree on its side?  (I am also fascinated!!)
 Love those diggers!
Then immediately to work clearing the smaller branches.
A silly boy in a silly tree.
Just like our old house, our new neighbors have goats!!  Although, I think these are more pets than meat goats, so they were friendly and actually liked people.  :o)
After the machines we finished for the day, we went back to check it out.  Pop-pop let Evan wear this hard hat since we were in a construction zone.
 Hopping on trees with Daddy.
Family photo (minus Ry-Ry - it was too cold and I pulled my over-protective mom card...).

Happy Birthday, Kate!

Kate turned 4 today, and we headed over to Towson yesterday to help her celebrate.  She's hiding behind some decorations, but she was quite ecstatic about her princess cake!  :o)
One of the moms brought her guitar and did some sing-along time.  While Ryan was a dancing boy (in the center), Evan happily drummed along (bottom center, yellow shirt)!  :o)
Ryan loved this thing!  He's been taking a lot of steps on his own this past week, but this was just the crutch he needed to reach cruising speeds!
More drumming.  The pink heart-shaped sunglasses complete the ensemble!  :o)
Then, when we got home, Josh carved his annual jack-o-lantern, and Evan baked some ghost cookies.  (Luckily for my non-pumpkin carving ability, the pumpkin shortage this year allowed me to pass...)
 Ta-da!  :o)

Parade Time

This past week, Milford held it's annual Halloween Parade.  Luckily, we're only a few blocks from it, and the rain stopped just in time for us to enjoy it!
Enjoying some parade time with Miss Stephie.
Ryan has become quite obsessed with my puppy slippers.  He barks at them when I walk by, and he gives them hugs and kisses when they're sitting still.  Silly boy!
As I'm cleaning out Ryan's too-small stuff, I came across this hat that is clearly way too small for him.  However, he found it quite hysterical and wanted to keep it on for a good portion of the afternoon.  So, there you go.  :o)

Touch-a-Truck and other fun!

Josh took Evan to the Touch-a-Truck event at Dover Downs on Saturday.  Evan apparently didn't want to turn his back to the Monster because he was afraid he was going to slam the car down when he wasn't looking.  I have no idea where he gets his paranoia from...  :o)
 In a dump truck!
 Army hummer.
Since I was in New York City, Ryan got to spend the day with Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad while Evan and Daddy were in Dover.  When Josh went back to pick him up, they were able to take a fun wagon ride in the woods.
 Want some corn?  :o)
 Trouble maker...
Ryan being silly earlier in the week, wrestling with his bed stuff on the Cars couch.
Double duty - playing his play station while giving Ry his milk.
Lina passed along this Tigger costume in case Ryan could wear it this year.  It looked a little big, so I tried it on Evan to see if it would fit.  It's a little snug... but super funny nonetheless!!  :o)

Evan is THREE!!!

Our little boy turned three this past week!  He has been so excited since the summer that his birthday is "pretty soon", I'm not sure he knew how to react that it was actually here.  He works diligently at putting the m&ms on his birthday cupcakes.
Posing with his tower of cupcakes.  He was so delighted to have the Happy Birthday song sung to him and personalized just for Evan.  :o)
Evan was lucky enough to receive many wonderful gifts at his party.  Madison and Leah were great assistants!
Evan posed with this creepy witch at the entrance of Grotto's who cackled when you walked by.  When we first entered, both him and Ryan scurried for safety, but Evan eventually warmed up to it.
After much-needed naps, we went to Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's house to play outside and bounce on the trampoline.
Due to limited seating in the kitchen, Leah and Evan had the privilege of eating dinner in front of the tv while watching The Lion King.  Silly goobers!
Then this morning, we hit up Brown's Branch Park before Jared, Gina, Leah and Isaac had to head home.  All four of the small ones on the swings:
  A scene from Mom-Mom's daycare.  :o)
Earlier in the week, Evan carefully practiced writing his name.
We use this basket full of all of the balls in the house to help block Ryan from pushing the buttons on the tv.  When I was putting Evan down for a nap, he managed to topple into it and dump everything out.  I guess we need to find a new deterrent...
One of my favorite games to play with Ev is "sleep on the couch".  He finds me a "friend" (today it was Giraffe-y) and a blanket, and we nestle in together on the couch.  I guess when I actually fell asleep, he got bored with me and decided to watch some tv with Daddy...  oops.  It was a busy weekend!

Yay Fall!!

On Friday, Evan and I engaged in some crafts and somehow came out with this lion.  We were proud of it!  :o)
Mom-Mom is showing Kate and Evan where to put the earth worms after they were finished playing with them.  Ryan is learning so much for next year...  :o)
Yay pumpkins!!
Silly boy...
He's got that crazy look in his eye...  :o)
While Ry frolicked in the pumpkins, Evan was busy at work on the farm...
Helping Daddy move wagons.
And clearing branches at Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's house.  Whew!
The two crazies settling in for some Mickey.  As soon as I took the picture, Ryan was off and trying to push all the buttons on the tv.  Oh well...  we can't say we didn't try to occupy him.  :o)
