When the boys go to Wal-Mart with Daddy, they come back as Batman! (We did have two superheroes, but Ryan refused to participate at the time...)
So, we finally convinced Evan to stay in his room instead of sneaking out to the living room every night to sleep on his little Cars couch or the big couch. He has now taken it upon himself to gather his friends into a pile on the floor and sleep there... he tells me "it's cozy!"
On Wednesday, the boys got to go to the Greenwood Library with Mom-Mom, where there was an aquatic presentation, and they got to color, make fish, and experience the coral reefs.
Ryan became enamored with this big Clifford, and Mom-Mom had to pry his little fingers off of him to go home...
And Evan took part in some of the computer games.
Then, that evening, we headed to the Rehoboth boardwalk for some fun with my friend Andrena and her daughter Madison.
A climbing buddy to hit up the big jungle gym!
A ride on the paratrooper ride - Ev said this was his favorite. (Mine too!)
Madison convinced Ev to ride the "fast cars" with her. He had fun but said his neck got tired of holding his head up! :o)
In the spirit of being a trooper and riding big kid rides, Evan agreed to ride this frog hopper one... It pulls you straight up and drops you. With no warning. Over and over and over again... I didn't have time to explain to Evan what we were about to experience, because as soon as the harness was down, we shot straight up in the air. This picture says it all - Madison having the time of her life; Evan scared for his life; and me trying to calm Evan and stop the involuntary shrieks coming out of my mouth with every drop. When it was all over, I asked Evan if he wanted to ride it again. He said no... :o)
A little calmer - the helicopters!
Teacups!
Back to Ry-Ry speed, a little ride on the motorcycles.
And of course, we wrapped up the evening with some Kohr Brother's ice cream!
