Catch Him if You Can

The local technical high school/adult education center has a Stay and Play on Friday mornings. This was our second time attending, and since Josh had off from school, he came with us. It is really fun to watch Ev interact with the other kids, even though it is few and far between. See all of the parents in the background playing with their children? Josh and I played tag to chase after our small one, who could not be positioned in one place very long. Of course, he did manage to stay at this kitchen set for a little while... :o)
Ev loves to sit on the big lamb these days. And who can read without their hat on?
This picture is like deja vu. :o) Luckily, this time it was only about 4 inches. By the way, who shovels snow in socks and flip flops??
I was jus trying to lay on the couch to nurse a headache, when this small one kept crawling up and laying behind me.
Glad to see we're working on our perseverance!

A 'lil of this, a 'lil of that

Did somebody say something about teeth? Look at these chompers!!
We like to take advantage of any type of semi-dry day to take Ev outside. Got the football? Check!
Bat? Check!
Since getting those feet around with those shoes on is too much trouble, going down the slide headfirst seems to be the way to go.
Poking around.
"Um, this kitty does not belong outside..."
Ew.

15 Month Stats

I forgot to post Evan's 15 month stats last week... he went to the doctor last Friday and weighed in at 23 pounds, 5 ounces (25%), and measured 32.5 inches long (75%). He also has 16 teeth now -- everything except his two year molars. Of course, we did not have to go to the doctor for that stat, but it's a fun thing to know. :o)
.
Evan is as busy as ever. He loves to take two golf balls, and throw them down the driveway.
Then he picks them up and starts all over. It's a nice little exersice. :o)
"Ma. You gotta be kidding me with this hat..."
Savoring the last of the snow...
Checking the electric meter. Looks good!
Ev can't figure out why he can't pick up the 10 and 15 pound medicine balls like he can pick up the equally large inflatable beach ball inside.
He loves hats, so we found one for him to wear. Love the hardcore look he is making! :o)
Tired? Hint taken!

Dynamic Duo

As Jess and Jenn head to Jamaica for her brother's wedding, Kate got to spend a lot of time with Evan this weekend. They started out by sharing a cheerio picnic on a blanket in Evan's room.
Then they worked together to try to wake up poor Diesel who was trying to take a nap.
Kate rocking a hat and shoes she found in Evan's closet, that obviously are still a little too big for him. The little goober would not let me take a picture of her face, though!! :o)
Playing with the truck together.
Uncle Josh blowing raspberries on Kate's tummy.
Uncle Josh still torturing Miss Kate...

Dunk it!!

Little Hider

Ev loves to pull the pots out of this cabinet so he can hide in it. Silly boy! :o)

Starting off the New Year with Fun!

On Saturday, we traveled up to Pennsylvania for the annual Hertzog Family Christmas party. Evan was able to play with many of my cousins' children, which took him a little bit to warm up to, but it seemed like he had a lot of fun. They also had an awesome basement play room with tons of toys that were new to him.
.
Madison is sharing her basketball with Ev.
Emma and Evan had a blast with the ball bin together (any kind of ball, and lots of 'em!)! Emma is just two months younger than Ev, so watching them together was really fun.
Camryn joins the fun. (Ev loved the hammer he is holding, and proceeded to bang on anything and everything around.)
This was a neat favorite toy, which made lots of car noises and the steering wheel moved a little car back and forth across the screen.
Aunt Lina helps Ev use the bouncy ball.
We had to put the football on the Cinderella table to "man-it-up" a little. :o)
Back at home, Evan was digging through his closet and decided he wanted his shoes on. Well, they didn't fit over his footie pajamas, so I had to take that part off. It's too cold for just the onesie, and of course I didn't want him to trip over the footie part, so I tied them in a knot. Smart, I know. :o) And this is the result...
So much fun!
