The Boardwalk

Before enjoying the Boardwalk, Aunt Gina and Isaac helped Ev dip his toes in the water.
Evan was not a fan of the rides that Mom couldn't go on with him. He refused to ride anything by himself, even if Kate was brave enough to be his riding buddy... At least we found out that Evan absolutely LOVES the Merry Go Round!!
Warning: video may be a little dizzying...
Evan was super bummed when we had to leave the horsies behind... And we rode it six or seven times!
The trucks weren't half bad either. Leah and Kate had a ball in the front seat!
Helicopter!
Whew! The pool is way more fun with people his size! :o)

A Day with Leah

Jared, Gina, Leah and Isaac were up for a long weekend this past weekend (sorry for the delay in blog posting!). Even after a long flight from Texas, Leah shares some blueberries with Evan.
Then on Friday, Josh brought Evan down to hang out with Leah all day. The two of them tried to charm Mom-Mom out of her oatmeal and blueberries.
Leah got to tell Evan all about the birds outside.
They certainly enjoyed the swing set together!
Even snack time was outside on the swing set!
Sharing the slide!
The most awesome clubhouse ever (aka, the Suburban)!
Learning how to make home-made ice cream from Dad-Dad.
Time to cool off...
Ev treated Leah to a wagon ride.
More sliding!

Happy Father's Day!

Ev was a little under the weather today, so we were unable to get a picture of him with any of the dads (Dad, Dad-dad or Pop-pop). However, we were able to get some fun pictures throughout the week before the fever set in...
.
Enjoying the maiden voyage in the pool with Dad.
Poor little string bean can't keep his 12-month shorts up...
Helping Dad-dad build the swing set.
Testing out the slide.
Swinging like a big boy!
At the park with Dad.
We went to the Chicken Festival on Friday, and of course, Ev enjoyed the petting zoo. This horse was nice enough to let us get some pets in.
Josh enjoyed these blue hens too!
And finally, it wouldn't be a chicken festival without some chicks!

At the park with Dad while Mom was working:
And this is what happens... :o) Josh was hiding up on a platform. Poor kid...
We took Evan to the Kid's Fest in Harrington this weekend. He may have been a little young for the events, as he did this in the bounce house...
And when this little girl came to play in the ball pit, Ev hid in a corner and tried to go unnoticed. However, the best part was the grape Italian ice! :o)
Helping Dad make his crib into a toddler bed.
"Oh, so I can just climb in?!?! Awesome!"
What's better than wearing a hat? Wearing TWO hats!! :o)
Sprinkler time!
Can't get enough!!

This and That

We just passed our 24 week mark. Whew... we're getting closer (and bigger!)...
Josh found this turtle on his way to work one day, and Evan absolutely loved it. He didn't stick around very long though, and crawled toward the pond next door.
Getting the hang of "Little Red".
Puddle splasher. (You can't really see the dirt smeared across his face on this picture...)

GMS Spring Festival

This Saturday was the Greenwood Mennonite School's Spring Festival. The day started with a fabulous breakfast, and we killed some time on the playground waiting for the festival to get under way. Evan always loves going down slides with Dad!!
Weee!!!!
Tire swing!
Learning to walk the balance beam with Mom-Mom.
We took a quick break inside to soak up some AC, and Evan had a blast working on his hand-eye coordination trying to catch a little bouncy ball.
Evan's favorite part of the festival was the petting zoo. Starting off with the donkey...
The he escaped... oops!
The sign that read "I do not like strangers" did not imply "I bite", which he did! Poor Evan reached up the cage to get a better look, and this bird took a wicked bite around Evan's entire finger. Poor kiddo. So much for liking birds any time soon!!
There was this sweetest little puppy there too!
Just his size! :o)
There were WAY too many kitties for this little area, but Ev had a blast regardless!
Giving our new monkey a high five! (This was a prize from cashing in our game-winning tokens.)
Back at home, Jess, Jenn and Kate stopped by for a quick visit. Aunt Jenn reading a book with Ev.
Enjoying Kate's company again.
