Almost Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Evan has developed quite the cough this past week, which leads us to his nebulizer treatments.  He does such a great job holding it all by himself - no complaints!  :o)
Since they both have a pretty wicked cough - I took them to the doctor on Friday.  With puppies in tow, they were both so good!!  Evan is to continue with the nebulizers, and Ryan was diagosed with croup.  A few days later, they're still battling their coughs.  Hopefully, they'll both be better soon!
Ev's head is big, but not quite big enough for Daddy's hat!
For some reason, Evan's thing lately is sneaking out of his room in the middle of the night and sleeping on his little couch.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I like it."  I guess that makes sense...
On Saturday, we helped celebrate Daddy's birthday with some ice cream cake.
When we didn't hear from Ryan for a bit today, we assumed he was getting into something he wasn't supposed to be.  But we found him being a little sweetie, sitting in his chair reading books.
Then I took the boys to the playground down the street with Caden and Aunt Lina.
 The crazy crew...
House progress this week - the siding is almost done and the stone has started.  I believe on the inside, most of the wiring and plumbing is done, and we're looking to start drywall soon.

Ryan is halfway between 1 and 2!

After a solid 4 days of high fevers, Ryan felt much better - even though he developed a nasty rash all over his body... (I think the flash drowned most of it out, but it was pretty gnarly!)  I diagnosed him with Roseola, but the doctor told me it was Fifth Disease.  Based on the Internet, though, I still think I'm right, but I guess I won't quit my day job to be come a doctor...  :o)
Feeling worlds better on Friday, Ryan went for his 18 month check up.  He weighed in at 24 pounds (25%) and measured 33.5" tall (80%).  Still long and lean... and patiently waiting below in the waiting room.  Unlike Evan, Ryan loves to talk to everyone waiting and tell them about his puppy or blankie.  Silly boy!
Our stone was delivered this past week, and the boys graciously modeled the pallets for us:
Then we took the opportunity to tour our woods.  We found this neat tree and the boys were infatuated with what might be living in there.  Ev decided it was just spiders, and Ry was good with that answer.
Then we took a break inside and found a make-shift table for a snack.
This morning, while watching Cars, Evan reached over to hold Ryan's hand.  I am pretty sure my heart melted a little...  okay, a lot!  By the time we got the camera, Ryan had enough and was trying to yank his hand free.  Nevertheless, it was sweet while it lasted!  :o)

Mid March Mischief

Evan still loves to look at pictures and home videos on the computer.  Whereas Ryan actually asks for "pictures", Evan still asks for "baby" as he did when he was Ryan's age.  Silly boy!  :o)
On Friday, I stole a page out of Dad-Dad's book and took the boys to the McDonald's playground.  Ryan played with this steering wheel for a whole two seconds and he was done for the day.
Evan loved all of it, especially since he was the only kid there, and he was trying to crawl backwards up this swirly slide.
Once again the boys crashed the end of my workout.  Evan jumped right in to do some leg raises, but Ryan cannot let anyone lay on the floor without pouncing on them...
Then on Saturday, I took Evan to see The Lorax with my friend Andrena with her daughters Madison (below with Ev) and Taylor.  They were all so good and quiet during the movie!
The 2D version was sold out, so we went 3D.  Evan loved wearing "sunglasses" to watch the movie!  :o)
A post-bath meeting of the minds.  Ev was trying to read Ry a story, but when every page began with "once upon a time, there was a shark... umm... yeah...", Ryan lost interest pretty quickly.  Ev tried!  :o)

Happy Birthday Isaac!!

On the eve of Isaac's birthday, the tots snuggled on the couch.
Then they read some books with Mom-Mom.
Gina made some awesome chocolate chip pancakes for Isaac's birthday breakfast, and then we rocked some donuts.  Isaac only turns two once!!  :o)
Then Leah, Evan and Isaac engaged in a balloon sword fight.
A nice stroll down the rock wall.
Leah with the take-down on Ev!
Everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy!
We took the opportunity to update the Judy cousins photo.  Instead of bring paired with siblings, they were placed in (reverse) age order - Jack (1), Ryan (18 months), Isaac (2), Evan (3), Leah (3), and Kate (4).  Of course, we can't forget the 7th Judy grandchild - Beagle.  :o)
In house progress news, we have shingles, windows and doors!!  Here's the front:
 And the back:
 Big window; small boys...
Evan hiding in the column.  Silly boy!  :o)
