On our way to Westmoreland, we decided to take a trip to the National Zoo in Washington D.C.
The boys really enjoyed all of the animals, especially the sea creatures.
Another favorite part of the journey was taking the metro to and from the zoo. Here we are, patiently waiting for the next ride.
Sacked out dudes after a busy day at the zoo.
One of the favorite parts of Westmoreland is being able to walk over to Mom-Mom and Dad-Dad's cabin for breakfast (sometimes second breakfast) in the mornings.
We made our own double stroller... :o)
Beach bums.
Evan diligently collected seashells, and then proceeded to set up his "seashell shop" at the cabin.
We took the three big boys to make a shark's tooth necklace at the visitor's center. Very snazzy!
More beach time and fishing at the boat dock.
Shark's tooth!
Ryan was a super big fan of the boat. He liked to sit in it, even when the ride was over.
Croquet dude.
Evan and Ryan enjoying their picnic dinner in their camp chairs.
Ryan snuggling with "Bay-NAN-a" (baby Anna).
Jared's crew brought some floating lanterns to share, which were super cool!
Swimmers!
Busy Ryan.
Evan loves to shovel his sand.
Night beach time.
This is what dudes look like when they're up past 10 pm...
Evan diligently colored this picture all week long.
The whole crew at King's Dominion.
Someone is a fan of roller coasters!
Small one catching a ride on Dad-Dad's shoulders.
Preparing for our trip through "Dinosaurs Alive", which was a really neat animatronics trail with lots of really big dinosaurs.
Evan racing around the track.
Ryan was right behind him.
Then the small one fell asleep for about 30 minutes before dinner. Just enough to recharge.
Nothing like a sink-rinse before nap time!
Counting and examining all of their sharks' teeth found during the week.
The view of the cliffs from behind our cabin.
Last evening's dinner time s'mores.
Evan is always a s'mores fan.
Departure rainbow suckers! This entertained them for about 20 minutes of the over-three-hour ride... :o)
